William W. Thompson, III

Mr. Thompson represents a wide variety of businesses and individuals in such diverse enterprises as real estate development, retail, petroleum marketing, transportation, construction, environmental services as well as many other areas.  He has represented his clients in complex litigation, mass tort actions and class actions in Federal and State Court and before administrative agencies. Before partnering with Mr. Grissom, Mr. Thompson was employed at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality where he was instrumental in writing the rules and regulations governing the fuel industry in the State of Texas, including the rules for underground storage tanks.

Originally from Baton Rouge, Mr. Thompson moved to the Austin area in 1986. Mr. Thompson loves music and has an extensive collection of vintage records, recordings, and other memorabilia. He is extremely active in the music culture of the City of Austin. Mr. Thompson has a golden retriever named Dash and a bloodhound named Ellie, who keep him busy during his leisure time.
